Would I need a SYE for a 4.5" Lift with 33s?

Most likely yes, but every Jeep is different. You could also put a transfer case drop on it, but that is just a band aid solution.

If you have a 2001 as your specs say then YES.. You will need a SYE. The later XJs don't seem to tolerate lifts that much. And at 4.5-5 your gonna be out of spec quite a bit.

Budget for it in your lift. Your gonna need it.
