Default Do I have a check engine light?

Hello All,

New guy here,
its a 1988 Pioneer 5 speed 4.0

Do I have a check engine light, MIL light or anything else that I can check to see if any stored codes on the computer?

I got a EMISS MAINT light, after doing some reading its just a timer to remind the driver that the oxygen sensor should be replace. I ordered one yesterday, I disconected as I read there's no reset for it.

I checked the owners manual and on the pictures of the dash shows nothing as far any light for that purpose!

I tried the Key on/Key off and nothing!!! I did a search and nothing!!!
thanks,
Andres

You my friend own a Renix, no check engine light. All you get is a problem and a multimeter to figure it out with. Although IMO I like it better this way.

As stated by Stryker you have no CEL and you have no port to check such because your computer does not store codes it just runs everything on your Jeep. You have to figure out the problems on your own. You can do that with hand tools and a $4 multimeter.

Quoted for truth. I don't need no stinkin' light to tell me when something is wrong with my Jeep!

So Andres what symptoms is your Jeep exhibiting that has you looking for a CEL? We might be able to give you some direction or may be able to tell you what exactly is wrong. In the spirit of CF we are here to help.
