Hello everyone my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4s engine light is on and i scanned it and it said Camshaft posistion sensor but I got one from my auto teacher and it didn't fix it. As a lot of you may know the sensor is in the distributor so I pull the position sensor off to get a better look at it and it looks fine, my rotor looks alright to. But I was moving the rod in the distributor and their was a bunch of free play and idk if it's normal or not. We took a distributor that we took of a vehicle in class and it didn't move at all. It also came up as the crank sensor when I scanned it. Can Someone please help, feedback would be great!!
