distributor whining when cold
My distributor whines when it's cold and gradually as it warms up, the noise goes away. Lately its starting to be constant. Normally I don't mind sounds: its a Jeep. But this one sound like something is going to go bad on me. Any ideas? Got a New cap and rotor. I haven't forked out the change for A distributor yet, wanna know if it could be anything else before I spend my paycheck

New cap and rotor BEFORE or AFTER the noise started?????? i'd try a Junkyard distributor, myself. that is if the cap and rotor are not the cause of the noise.
