Unhappy Digital overhead console with temp

I have searched the search option for previous posts but couldnt find anything, so here goes. I have the overhead console in the middle of the roof with the compass and the outside temp. My question is where is the sensor for the temp? It can be 70 degrees outside but mine says its like 134 degrees!! The compass is correct but I am wanting to fix the temp. Ive looked all through my Haynes manual but it doesnt say anything about it at all. Any help would be great. Thanks
Josh

Although if reading that warm, yours may have been moved closer to the rad. Or in the engine bay somewhere, moved to install non stock bumper?

Mine is behind the front bumper also. The harness comes down under the battery tray, and then runs along the radiator core support. They are finicky, so removing it, spray flush the connectors with electrical contact cleaner, and then make sure it is snug when you reconnect the sensor end.

Does anyone have a pic of what it looks like exactly? I have found some sort of sensor but the PO told me it was the airbag sensor. Mines already been deployed so it doesnt really matter but now Im thinking that it may not be the airbag sensor. Any pics would be great. Thanks

Looks like a metal pellet if I recall. Just behind the grille, and midway in the grille support.

After locating it, go to the SY and get another.

These things will read hot if they pick up a lot of engine/radiator heat while sitting at idle. But it should cool back down to ambient temperature a short while after you get moving again.

Ok I found it, it was the sensor that I was told was the airbag sensor. I moved it last night and this morning when I left the house it was reading correctly and after engine warming up. But mine looks like a bullet type thing. Will try to take a pic later. Maybe it will help someone else out. Thanks
