Differences in windshields
My 96 SE needs a new windshield. Are they the same for 2dr and 4dr machines? Can the rubber windshield molding be reused and if so, how is it removed without damage? Thanks
All the online quotes come in at $200-$230. I'll call a bunch of places and see who really wants the business. Would like to come in at $160 all in.

Cost on the glass itself is 74 bucks in my system, molding is 15 then shops add in their markup on the glass so they can make their profit.
1.5 hours of labor for install is the going rate for most w/s installs which ranges anywhere from 50-65 an hour.
$200 is a very fair price.
Hope that helps some.

I had mine replaced a couple weeks back $185 total for glass and new molding. I used a shop with a mobile service so that was an additional $25 but he came to my office and replaced the glass in the parking lot. He took great care in inspecting after removal and even took the time to prime a couple rust spots while it was out. All that and it still took less than 45 minutes.
