Diff Breather in cab mod??
I've seen this done on some other 4x4's, but haven't seen anything about it for an xj. I've seen many toyotas with the yellow air compressor hose (The coiled stuff) used as diff breathers. Would it be a bad thing to just run the rear breather into the cab and put one of those mini cone filters on it? Seems easy, and the yellow hose will match my yellow shock boots perfectly. I figure, if i've got water in the cab, i've got bigger things to worry about than my diff breather.. (Been there already) I just don't want any problems with potentially toxic fumes (if any) as I don't know what heated gear oil releases.
Does anybody have a write-up, or past experience with something like this?

The smell of gear oil may stink up the cab, but no harm to the Jeep. Those yellow coiled hoses are for an ARB locker, not the axle vent.

i do not agree with the others who say go for it, if you can smell oil then that means there is particles of something in the air, which means your breathing it in. its just like gas, on a hot day you go into work and come out and you could die on a few minutes if the oil diminished the oxygen levels.
plus gear iol smells like shhhhhittttttttttttttt. especially after a few thousand miles

Yeah, you don't wanna have those vents in the cab, won't be good healthwise, anyone tried just drilling a few holes and stuffing the tube way up in between the outside sheet metal and the "frame"?
