Hey guys whatsup, hoping you could help me figure out what exactly this line is and what its for, I figured it was a vacuum line, and If so, I have to replace before smog because CA smog laws are rediculous Gotta love 21 yr old lines.. . Its an 89' limited with the 4.0l renix I6. Thanks in advance for any replies!




Where it leads to...not sure what that is?

 

MAP Sensor is the item on the fire wall. If the line goes to it -you probably won't pass the e-test

 

If it's the tube coming off that piece on the firewall with the green electrical connection then yes, it is a vacuum line from the that MAP sensor.

Thanks for the replies guys, any clue if I can purchase just the vacuum line from the stealership or do I have to buy a whole new MAP sensor assembly from the firewall?
