ever since i've installed the ev6 injectors, my XJ seems to not wanna move if i just put it in drive and not touch the gas. it almost feels like it wants to cut off. it feels exactly like leaving a manual in first gear and keeping a light touch on the brakes while rolling. but if i give any gas it darts off like a bullet.
so, i put the stock injectors back on and it stopped.
i think the ev6 injectors are causing my motor run rich in low rpms. because, it doesn't happen at any other rpm. and even while it's in park, it feels like it has a miss.

 

did you reset the ECM? If so how long ago did you do it? The ECM takes 50 cycles to learn meanwhile it runs off a set of preprogramed values. Also did you just grab them out of the jy or did you get from a shop?

 

reset the ecm. got the injectors from ebay. left them in diesel overnight, then made a little jig and cycled a fi cleaner through each one. the injectors can't possibly be bad, because they run like a champ when i give gas. but, they're definitely running rich at idle.

 

I would hook them up to them (ev6) fuel rail just to verify that one or more is not leaking just a bit. definitely sounds like they are culprit

What year XJ?
