I went to install my new Ruff Stuff rear Differential cover.... While I was at it I figured I'd replace a lugnut that has boggered up threads.
I usually remove the axel to do this. I expected to see C-clips when I popped the cover off but don't see how I can get to them.
I have rear disk brakes off a Grand Cherokee on this 1998 Cherokee. I popped the caliper off to see if there was enough room to snake the new Lugnut in that way but it's pretty tight in there.
I am pondering taking off the e-brake shoes to see if that will do it.
I'd rather pop the axel out but don't want to mess with it if I have to take the bearing caps off and screw with the preload.
Any ideas?
Thanks
