WRONG. LET ME CLERIFY THIS ONE FOR YOU GUYS, WHEN THE DEALER LOOKS UP YOUR VIN ON DEALER CONNECT THEY GET A VEHICLE OPTIONS LIST WHICH TELLS THEM EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR JEEP. WHAT IV NOTICED IS ON SOME OF THE EARLIER XJ AND MJs FOR SOME REASON THEY CALL THE DANA35 A 175mm ON THIS VEHICLE OPTIONS LIST.

PS i have access to dealer connect so if you need anything like that dont hesitate to ask.

Don't post in all caps. It is improper forum etiquette and annoying to say the least..

Now on the the meat..thanks for the info good to know for future reference. Now to bash the dealer they should have clarified that instead of giving out gibberish and confusing customers..

true..Now my local jeep dealership has a parts guy who really knows jeeps..he's helped me a bunch of times when i did the motor swap finding the right part numbers before I actually had a part manual so I could order the parts online..He knew I wasn't buying but he understood the cost savings..

Oh and no worries on the caps just wanted to remind ya just in case..

I know it's already been answered but I'll throw this out there...Jeep has been naming their axles like this for quite a while. On my '99 WJ they call the front axle a 186FBI (Front Beam-design Iron) and the rears are 198RBI (Rear Beam-design Iron - AKA D35) and 226RBA (Rear Beam-design Aluminum - Commonly known as the D44A)...
