Default Dash Panel Removal

I need to take off some of the dash panels on my 2001 XJ to change some bulbs..fix some wiring..etc..

I'm trying to remove the panel that is right below the steering column...I know the manual mentions something about some hidden clips...

I removed the screws from the lower part...but still can't seem to get it to come off..I am getting frustrated and know if I go back out there without getting some advice...I WILL break it...

Before I try again..Does anyone have any tips on getting it to release...Thanks

must of all the dash panels are held in by screws, or clips(that are part of the back side of the dash panel and just slide into slits in the dash) These just need a little pulling/prying/tugging and wiggling to get out. I just got done replacing the antenna cable on my jeep. Had the pass side of the dash torn apart cause Jeep routed it behind the passenger airbag.

You might have to remove the top dash cover first this is the part that covers your instrument cluster.
