my cluster started acting up with just the airbag light going on and off as it pleased. that was for a day now for a couple days the airbag light comes on the the rpm and speedometer gauges both drop to zero while driving then a minute or two later they'll pop back up to where they are supposed to be and the airbag light then goes off and repeats while driving. what could this be?

 

Need to start checking all wiring connectors would be my guess starting from the cluster down.

 

There are two connectors on the back of the cluster that are notorious for loosening up. You'll need to pull the trim around the cluster to get the cluster out. Then clean the connectors and shim them a bit so they sit firmly against the matching connector. I had the exact same problem and it's been fine ever since. There's a writeup on here somewhere.
