Dash clock for 1996 XJ?
 

Love my 2DR 1996 XJ. Have an aftermarket radio, but the clock sucks (small, hard to see ...) I would like to add an easy-to-see, bright clock to the dash, and found this online:

Anyone ever attempt this? I don't want to use my cell phone, and I don't use the radio much. Don't want a cheap stick-on, either.

Go-Jeep has a great site and there are a ton of other ideas if you haven't yet looked at the entire site.

I got a clock off ebay for my '93 that looks just like the one in the picture. These clocks draw very little current and I just hooked mine up to the power wires to the radio which saves having to fiddle around with the fuse panel. I'm not sure I had to pull the instrument panel. In any event the install is simple.

The clock keeps near perfect time and is bright at night but can be a bit difficult to see in bright sunlight.
