Default Dash brake light

Hi all, I have an 1990 xj. I followed all the threads on the up grade on the booster and mc. The thing is that I did not change out is the prop valve from abs to non abs. Will this cause my brake light not to work? From the old system when the brakes are not working the dash brake light would come on and the brake lights would not work. It's doing the same thing after I did the change over. Was I suppose to change the prop valve from abs to non abs? Did I missed a thread to delete this Bendix? I am stuck. Thank you

The brake lights should always work, they're controlled by a switch on the pedal, not the prop. valve.
You removed the Bendix ABS, kept the prop. valve, and your brake warning light is on?
Was it on before the swap?

Yup this was the original abs prop valve. I used all of its inlets and outlets. I did not get the non abs prop valve when I did the swap. The abs prop valve had plug from the rear and I used it.

I've always assumed the prop. valve needs to be changed, the one time I saw a conversion in person it had been. I don't know what will happen if you try and recycle the old one.
Do the brakes, front and back, work normally?

The brake are great front and back with no issues. How about changing out the combination valve switch that is on top of the prop valve? Maybe I need to find me a non abs prop valve... Like all the treads says...
