What I was thinking, Zak at rustys runs his 30 and 35 with chromolys and wheels it hard and hasn't broke anything, I guess some get lucky

Yes you are correct there, I personally have never had a problem with a D35...maybe it's because I avoid them like the plague

Sounds like owner negligence to me. From my experience axle bearings make a LOUD whining noise when they are bad. I only heard the noise when the wheels where still on the car so I can only image how loud it must have been.

Mud tires hide a lot of noise
