Dana 35 to Chrysler 8.25 swap
Does anyone know if the brake drums from a Dana 35 will work on a Chrysler 8.25? I am looking to do a swap but the 8.25 I found does not come with brakes. I have also heard that the housing is longer on the 8.25 and could possibly require a shorter drive shaft but I don't think that would be an issue as I have a 4.5" lift. Any knowledge/experience about this would be appreciated.

Pinion on the 8.25 comes out about 1" further than the D35 but if you are lifted then you have room for it

Yeah, all of that brake stuff swaps over, but IIRC the Ebrake levers are different. At any rate, you can compare the two and figure it out. I installed a Junkyard 8.25 and used the best parts from both it and the outgoing Dana35 to make up a good set of brakes on the 8.25.
Then I sold the D35 to the scrapyard for 6 bucks and spent that on beer.

Looks like a great time to do a WJ Disk brake swap or the Tera Flex kit. Not sure if everything can swap, I did a brake conversion when I swapped in my 8.25.
