dana 30 shims

I'm replacing the inner axle seals in my dana 30.the videos ive seen show shims on each side of diff bearings. I don't have these shims that I can see.do some have them and some don't? mines a 96 .

The shims are between the bearings and the carrier. Some axles have the shims between the case and the bearings.
