I dont see why it wouldnt. Someone may chime in with some small difference but from what I've seen between my old XJ and my buddys XJ they should be.

All XJ front D30 axles are fully interchangeable and direct bolt in. But, if it is a high pinion then it from an older model. 00 and 01 models had low pinion axles.

That dana 30 isn't a 2000/ 2000-01 only came with a lp d30, It will bolt right in. But its totally differant form the renix d-30.So I don't know how it will work because it not set up for the vacume canister.

It is not totally different. The vac disco is one difference but you can run a non disco axle in the 87 with no issues. The brakes hoses connect differently so new ones will be needed, depending on what year that axle actually came from.

So would it end up basically running just like on a 2000-01 then after it was all hooked up. I'm asking cause I'm not really sure on it. Thanks for any info on it.

Ok let me add to a previous statement. A Dana 30 is a Dana 30 if it is from an XJ. Of course there are variations through the years that contain different parts. These include the one or two piece passenger side axle shaft (disco or non-disco), 267 or 290 axle shaft u-joints. The brakes also changed through the years as did the hub bearing assemblies. Therefore you will need to know the year of the axle to purchase parts when doing a brake job or replacing the hubs.
