Lightbulb cylinder 1 misfire woes......

ok so i got this new jeep that is nothing but problems to me! grr.... anyhow these same 2 codes come up every like 100 miles. p0301 (cylinder 1 misfire detected) and p0463 (fuel sender voltage to high) so since i put the new injectors in i figured one was bad so i switched #1 injector over and ruled that out. next i switched the spark plug and wire over and that ruled out. so my current guesses are bad ones =/ it has bad compression in general (burnt valve?) or maybe fuel pump for the code it throws? previous owner said it has a new fuel pump.

Did you do a comperssion test yet - that would be the next step. What does the spark plug look like?

Agreed compression test, and / or cylinder leakdown test is in order.

well. i suspected a burnt valve so a local 4x4 shop jeep mechanic told me to lightly pour down a 16.9oz bottle of water into the intake. cleaned up all the carbon build up and it runs like a champ! wth? cool! (steam cleaning?)
