So today I installed cruise control on my 2000 XJ. New oem servo. cruise control clock spring installed. Also cruise control switches were said to be from a 99.
Now to the problem the cruise light does not come on when the button is pushed. The cruise control switches part number ends in AC. Does any one know if this is the part number that is compatible with a 2000? I'm thinking I might have gotten the wrong switches hence the cruise light isn't coming on. My only other guess is the servo plug is to dirty though I did try to clean it out.
Any one have an idea on something I missed?
Thanks in advanced.

It could be the wiring. When I installed an overhead console from another 97+ in to my '00 I had to move some wires around in the harness for it to work properly. Just my 2¢

Hmm... I'll have to try checking the wires on the servo harness and try cleaning it better tomorrow. But have a bad feeling I have the wrong switches.

You've got the wrong switches. Here's a great video to assist you. I just did mine about a month ago.

Agreed. Wrong switches. The P/Ns should be 56007530 & 31.

I have a pair in my garage because I was told they were from a '98 (sound familiar?). I had the same problem you did until I got the correct switches.

Let me know if you are interested in my set.

Crap there is 2 part #s? Explains why I could only find the right switch and not the left. lol

Yeah if you have a set for a 2000 I would be interested.
So I have a set if you still need some. Part ends in AC on the ones I have right now.
