crossroads, XJ build?
Well I'm at a major crossroads with my XJ right now. She's a true trail rig very minor street driving as I have a DD and tow rig. But the crossroads is what to do with it now. I could do a simple finish type build on it; new rear leafs and shocks lock the rear with factory 29spline shafts re gear to 4:56 then throw some good 33s under it and call it a day.
option 2 buggy it. rear axle swap along with a spring flip to stretch it with locker and gears along with a front axle swap dana300 with a 231 crawler box cut up and tube work on 35s so i can still flex with a lower lift.
thoughts opinions comments all welcome.

If you go with the rear stretch you will need more than a 35 to make up for the added wheelbase. And just so you know they are never done.

if you have a DD then go all out baby. go for some D60's, full cage, 37 KRAWLERS, throw a V8 in that bad boy, full coil overs. wranglers shouldn't be the only ones with coils in the rear. thats my .02

if you have the money and tools do the stretch and tube it. if your going thru that trouble you might as well 4 link the rear for more flex and a better ride.
and 35s will work fine, depending on how much you stretch it
