Really. and 194 is the dash light? Actually I'm not busy right now. (rained enough to slip sideways and "give" my mirror to a tree dragging firewood)..

Thought I might just straighten the wires and stick it right in there....

Well. I do try to keep my photos sharp...I ain't going back out in the rain though. Only at idle, three times. (kept under 5 or 15 seconds), bulb is good before and after. It didn't light up. (I jiggled/messed with it, engine running) Dang...I should do it again in lower light,,,maybe there IS an observable pulse that I didn't see. Anyway #2 and the engine seemed fine after I put it back...

My thoughts too. That's why I did it three times and jiggled it in the socket with it running. Maybe I ziged while #2 was zaging! I have anything here..almost. Instead of trying a 6v bulb, maybe I see if I can blow a flashlight bulb. Or I could "cheat" and put any number of 3v led's in series/parell, but something anyone can get local should work.

Low current....Good tip, thanks.

Well, it can be done with the bulb from a 3 Cell Maglight, and two paper clips.

I pulled.....is it the e-1 connector? (the same as on the knock sensor), off #2 injector. The engine missed during the test.

Straighten a clip, wrap it around the bulb. Pull it off and bend it so it fits tight in on there, plug that in one. I put the second paper clip in the other. I held the contact on the nipple of the bulb, It pulsed bright. I was careful not to let anything touch metal/ground.

I'm gonna take a shot at U-Tube. >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPdkUjMpDxA&feature=youtu.be

ok i tested the injector wire going to cylinder 6 and while the engine was running it was showing a constant 13v DC. i unplugged injector 1 and tested and it was fluctuating too fast for me to read anything but it was going from 2 to -3v at its biggest fluctuation which tells me 1 is sending a pulse like it should. . im gonna try out a new computer and a couple different injectors from the junk yard and see if that solves it otherwise i assume theres some melted wires somewhere in the harness

Excellent thought. A shorted/overheating wire will go right through the insulation and energize what it hits.

One time I looked out a window and saw smoke coming out from under the hood of my Celica, and the windshield wipers were going. An unfused wire from the battery that was looped around some harness had shorted and cut in.

Kind of strange..all cookie cashes way cleared, a bunch of scans...and I didn't need to log on to u-tube. So here is the mag light flashing....V

I was thinking, on mine the 02 Heater wire shares that harness. (it's hot, 12v). If pulling the 02 heater relay cut the power there, that would be something. (pretty easy if you can find the relay).

You might consider putting a meter on any/all of the grounds, (02, tps, map, injectors). Might be that wire got hot when things got screwy. If it tried to ground through there, or powered that up...might have burnt through to other wires in more than one place.
