You need the bushings that are suggested on the page and pb blaster to get the old one off

Ok, and can I use the old bolts and lugs, or new ones? And I'm assuming 2 bushings per leaf so 4 total? And it looks like an easy job removing and installing leafs, is this true, or am I just young and dumb?

Its easy if you PB blast all the bolts twice a day for atleast 3 days prior.

I'd suggest you get new bolts but thats entirely up to you. I just hate reusing bolts with suspension.

Edit: May I ask why you dont consider a lift kit with full leafs instead of buying brand new stock leafs?

Ok cool, thanks for the advice. Will any nuts and bolts work? Or are there certain ones, and what size bolt?

And I knew that question was gonna come up lol. I thought about it, but for all the wheeling I do (which is none) it's not worth all the ridiculous money for me. I might get a 2 inch BB and but the shackle on while I'm at it though.

depending on where you live, if you have a little rust those leaf spring bolts can be a pain as they tend to sieze inside the bushing... if that happens you'll have to back them all the way out of the nut BEFORE you cut them, and get new ones at the dealership for about 10 bucks a piece. Check the strength of your shackles too, wouldn't hurt to replace those while you're at it.

Seeing as you're in PA and not in AZ or TX, your bolts are most likely seized after 10+ years.

I know that mine are.

I highly recommend before you even begin to consider this project, to spray those front eye and shackle bolts with PB Blaster and see if they'll even budge beforehand.

Between my electric impact wrench and/or my breaker bar using impact sockets with pipe AND an entire Gallon of PB Blaster they didn't want to budge at the time.

I'll just let em soak a bit longer.

chances are, those bolts wont be re-used...well i dont re-use rusted susp. bolts its like reusing a worn out tire, why risk a failure?

i like a torch and a die grinder with a cut off wheel

they cut like butter when they are hot!

i soaked mine in PB for a week prior to trying to turn them. sprayed 2 times per day and hit with a hammer occasionally to vibrate the bolt.

I have some poly bushings for sale if your interested. im in WV so shipping cant be much. they are brand new.

So, you want to replace your crappy leafs with the same thing?
I agree, Cherokee leafs are a bit, shall we say, weak.
Instead of replacing them, just beef them up.
Adding extra leafs from a donor pack, whether it be another Cherokee pack, or other vehicle packs, will certainly bring some life back to your sagging leafs.
This way, you won't have to mess with the "most likely seized" leaf eye bolts.
Especially the front one(s).
Just U-bolts and center pins are all you have to wrench.
Search "bastard pack" for more info.
I added another stock Cherokee long leaf to my pack(s), and got a solid inch of lift out of it. Enough to bring my ride height back to stock and them some.

So other then the possibility of seized bolts, how hard is it to replace leafs? Doesn't seem that complicated...

Just buy my new pair of full length add a leafs ($50), get about 2-2.5" in the rear then buy some $50 2" spacers for the front. There's your BB haha. And with an AAL you don't have to mess with the shackles bolts! Just undo the u bolts and leaf spring clips and slide in the new leaf, easy as that!

I would but I hear that if you leafs suck then an AAL won't work right
