Default Crankshaft Position Sensor

Anyone have thoughts on reliable brands?...i don't want to replace again for at least another 200,000 miles.

I drive an all stock 2001 Jeep cherokee sport 4x4...

Thanks

Or, if you prefer to get it online, Morris Off-Road has the OEM CPS (Chrysler part no.: 56027866AE) for $100.

I just installed an Echlin from Napa in my earlier Renix Jeep. I'm sure it's fine, giving me 1/2 a volt. About $45 out the door, but pretty different than yours.

I have this below "canned' in my files. I'm hoping sometime someone will "give it a whirl"......

On YOUR CPS, I recently found this link on testing the later, OBD II CPS, which may well apply to yours. I haven't tried it, don't know anyone who has. It looks like he's verifying 1/2 a volt, (aka.5v or 500 Mil.Volts), presumably AC, (with a true RMS meter), (back-probing, with it connected), at his third (Red) wire. (not the ground, and not the 5V-DC sensor feed). I don't know what % difference I would expect from my "cheap-o-meter", as opposed to the true RMS, but it might not be much. http://www.cherokeetech.com/VBull/sh...agnosis-Videos
