Default Driver Side Window

I have a 99 4 door 4.0. My driver side window will no longer go up or down. I did a lot of searching and couldn't find any clear suggestions for a solution so I am trying a post before I order a motor or switch.

My window is currently up and will not go up or down. All other windows work fine from the drivers switch. I have checked the connections numerous times and all have been cleaned and checked. I have not done anything with a multi-meter because I don't know much about electrical or how to test, though I do have a basic unit available.

It previously went up and down only in very cold temps in the AM before sunrise and recently stopped working all together. Could this be indicative of a dying motor? If so, the replacement job is easy enough but I would hate to buy and install one to find that isn't the issue. Is there another way to feed power to the motor to test?

Could it be the driver side switch itself even though the other buttons work? Any way to test? Other things that I should be looking at? I don't think it is with the wires going into the main cabin as I would expect the other windows wouldn't work either.

Thanks ahead of time for any help or suggestions.
