ive been reading these threads for the past 4 years, never had to make an account... that ends today... so i recently picked up a 2wd 96 with the 4.0 HO, auto trans, non modified... clean this thing up, drive it a total of 50 miles and it stops starting. i changed the cps, cam position sensor, checked all the fuses, distributor, rotor, the relays, the pcm, the ignition switch, the wiring in some of the ignition circuit... the damn thing just wont start. has no reading on the tach when i turn it over, which is why i was thinking crank position sensor and cam position sensor. but the asd relay gets power, i just cant get power to the coil, and so ive been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why its not firing, i thought it was the nss for a while, so i took it out, cleaned it and found a broken piece inside... so i got a brand spanking new used one from a buddy and it all seemed good. the thing would turn over but no spark. could it be the o2 sensors are busted and grounding out? i know that the circuit has a bunch of stuff on it, could the o2 sensors be the cause of no spark? whats the score here? whats next? i really need some help here and my funds are very limited, i have no idea where the hell to go with this and my volt ohm meter was sitting in the windshield and got fried i guess. it aint working. so any direction, preferrably cheap or free would be greatly appreciated. anything at all, please. im desperate... desperate enough to finally make a profile on here. not that theres anything wrong with it, i have used the threads for the past 4 years, just always had the luck of finding my answers from you guys problems. thanks in advance

This thread didn't end well. A lot of threads that start out like that don't end well. Call them cautionary tales in readabilty.

Does your buddy have a coil you can borrow? Whats the battery voltage? What brand crank sensor? Like said, buy a new meter. You own a Jeep, so youre going to need it. Get yourself a code reader, and a factory service manual as well.
