Crank no start
Ok so I have been fighting this Jeep tooth and nail for the last couple months. Fix one problem and another comes up you k ow how it goes. Finally got it running again after a motor rebuild and the story goes I came home one night and it ran out of gas and died. So I put gas it and now I get a crank no start. So I went through the usual tests made sure all my connections where good cleaned all my grounds good battery all of it still crank no start. I did notice that it’s not getting spark now and the fuel pump will prime with the key but won’t run when cranking. As far as I know the crank sensor is first on the chopping block. I have a new distributor and have ruled out idle air sensor, TPS, and my coil. So I want to change my crank sensor with a know good one I have but it’s from a renix system older xj and it’s got the same 3 round pin connector but only 2 wires that run to the sensor. So my question is can I use that to test if mine is bad or will it not work at all with my system. My sensor that’s on it has the same connector but looks like 3 wires that run to the sensor.
