Default crank, crank - no start - fighting a demon

well i've been fighting a demon

I have a 1996 XJ 4.0 AW4 - 283k miles

Tune up was done about 8k miles ago, last oil change was 2k miles ago. Tune up was full - plugs, coil, cap, wires.

None of the mods have been recent, all over 3k miles old.

Sunday on my way to hockey I was getting a slight hesitation and a bit of surging under throttle. Sub 3k and it would pulsate but it wasn't all that bad and it wasn't the entire drive (12 miles). I got out of hockey and left and the problem seemed a little worse, but I was able to get home. Now, it just cranks and cranks and no fire.

Things I've replaced
- Header
- Intake manifold (had a 99+ ready to go on)
- Throttle body (had a 62mm as well)
- Both o2 sensors
- Throttle Position Sensor
- Crank Position Sensor
- Thermostat (unrelated)
- Heater hoses (unrelated)
- Distributor Cap and Rotor (new)

I'm honestly not sure what to do from here. My only remaining thoughts are MAP sensor, IACV, & coolant temp sensor...I mean what else am I missing?

Help please!

Now the fuel pump makes no noise at all. It's not even firing.

Check the fuse for the pump relay, under the hood in the fuse box.

Checked all fuses, not that.

Pump is definitely dead.

try replacing the coil. i would just grab a used one from the wrecker.

not related to fuel pump, but worth a try.

Swapped my stock coil, it's not spark related at all.

It's fuel, there's literally no fuel coming from tank to rail.
