Cracked Door Bracket - Just weld?
Hi all,
Been waiting on this one, hoping it would magically fix itself
Right now I have to lift my rear passenger door to close it properly due to a crack around the door bracket. Is this something that can just be welded back to get proper alignment, or do you think extra bracing will be required?
I won't be doing it myself as I don't weld, but would like to know what I'm looking at before I pay someone for it.
Thanks!

Yes get it welded. My in law's 97 2 door had some serious door sag from the top hinge popping out. After 6 months of sagging he brought it to a shop. In that time it was held on my a paper thin piece of metal. He just got it fixed this week. I shoulda took a pic. Anyway, get it done sooner than later, the longer you wait, more damage = more $$.

The drivers upper hinge broke off entirely on my 2 door, the doors are bigger so there's extra stress on the body. I welded mine up and reinforced the area with some steel plate.
