cracked block part 2
i had a post earlier where i stated i had some ani-freeze leakage, i checked it out and it turned out i had a crack in my block between the 2cnd and third freezeplugs. i used some liquid copper silicate glass block sealer and it stopped the leak to just a drip. i'm going for another round and adding another bottle of the sealer. i figure why not , the block's shot anyway. i guess the heep is going from a daily driver to a weekend warrior. good idea? what could it hurt. btw, what is the best v8 swap thats most compatible? thanks for the help!

If you still like the engine why not weld up the block. If a stick welder is used, use a nickel alloy rod to buzz up the crack. Grind it out a little and weld er up. Had a buddy that did this with a 460 and its holding up great.

x2 as long as its just a single crack and nothing is leaking into the motor etc you'd be fine welding it, We tig welded my friends 4.0 block a few years ago
