Evening all,

Has anyone ever had to adjust the HVAC blend door cable on a pre-97 XJ? I had the issue where the temperature control **** stayed about 1/2-5/8" from all the way cold and suspected the blend door would go all the way cold but not quite all the way hot. I checked under the dash, passenger side, and found the little attachment and cable. It appears that the end of the cable is sticking about 1/2" or so past the little 'crimp' connected it to the door. See pic for reference:



Second, any advice on battery cable upgrades? Been doing some research and want to do either 4 or 2 gauge. I was gonna see about getting some from Jon, but I think he might be out of it for now. Hope he's doing alright.

I've been looking at the 'common' replacements sold at Advance. I've seen references to some kind of bridge on the PDC as well as a fusible link somewhere near the alternator? Also, what to do with that green wire to the starter? Any directional input is greatly appreciated.

 

last time I talked to 5-90 he was moving, but that was some time ago. have you e mailed him? he got back to me within a day or so when i used the email from his website.

check crusers tips. i think i remember seeing something there. I know i saw it somewhere, just cant remember who had it. sorry, one too many hits to the head lol

 

I'm pretty sure the metal end you just pinch and you can slide it on the cable up or down for proper adjustment
