Hey everyone, havent posted in awhile, hope yall are well... I moved from NY to Atlanta over the last 18 months and couldnt be happier!
My XJ however is having a couple issues, which I think I found the solutions to on the forum...
Im experiencing this phenomenon:
Symptom: Thumping or thud noise when taking off from a stop

Description: "When I take off from a stop, my drivetrain makes a 'thump' or feels like a bowling ball rolled into the lift gate".
Cause: The slip yoke requires grease, and is sticking, causing the "thump" when taking off from a stop.
Fix: Unclasp the rubber boot over the slip yoke and slide it out of the way, then slather some axle grease all over the slip yoke. Work it into the splines really good. Put the rubber boot back and reattach the clasp. The clunking should go away immediately on the next drive.

Knocking\swishing kind of sound in drive... This sounds just like it and I hope tightening the Flex Plate to Torque converter plate screws will fix it

I cant release the parking break ALL the way, there is still like 1 last notch, and the thumb button is depressed...

My question is, what should I expect to pay for these repairs? Obviously I realize its just a ball park guess, but I dont have access to a garage\tools so I have to go to a mechanic...
Also, how bad is it to drive on the parking break 1 notch engaged like it is?
