So I recently clogged the cat full of mud on my 00' xj and had to cut it off well I scraped it and then realized I scrapped the piece of pipe after the cat with the 02 still in it...I have a check engine light on for the bank 1 02 so I knew it was bad and now I have no second o2 at all..my question is would the bank 1 02 be the cause of my rough idle and some times stalling out after I drive and get it warm then shut it off run in somewhere and come back out say 10 min it will be really rough idle at 400ish to 600ish and a few rev will get it straightened out but now its been dying..so do I need to have both 02's and both replaced with new mopar ones to fix this??

Also in my understanding the second 02 just tells if the cat is bad..do I really need it couldn't I just replace the front 02 and be good since it controls everything else?? I don't kno that's y I'm asking hopefully someone can clarify specifics for me and let me know

Weld in a bung to screw the O2 sensor into. This is sometimes necessary with aftermarket CATs.
