Correct battery temp sensor?

Correct battery temp sensor?
Been looking to get my CEL off and one of the codes is battery temp sensor missing or malfunctioning. Well I looked its not there and the dumb *** PO cut the pigtail that connects it into the wiring off in the process so I have to find that as well.
My question is this the right sensor http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-Motor-Products-TS407-Battery-Temperature-Sensor-/250854915616?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a681e3e20&vxp=mtr. My XJ is a 96 and I can't find one listed for that model. I only find 97-01 Cherokee and it looks like it fits a bunch of other Chrysler products as well. Is this correct or do I need to keep looking?
