Cooling system
So i finally purchased my very own 2000 Cherokee Sport but now its time for some work. So far i know i need to replace my Fan clutch, thermostat, lower radiator hose, Brakes(including rotors) and the driver side floor pan. Any good places to look for parts?

for the hoses and all of that go to your local auto parts store and for the floor pan i advise you to go to your local junkyard probably get it for like 10 bucks easy hope i helped
if i could make a suggestion dont run a thermostate Jeep made the cherokee's run hot usally about 200-210 if you want your jeep to run between 150-180 like mine dont leave the thermostate in but the only down side to that is your going to lose your heater
Rockauto.com for the parts, Like stated JY for the floor plan. 195° for the Tstat, Go with Stant SuperStat, unless its all you can afford get a new not reman for the water pump

dont go without if you want to run cooler pop a hole in your thermostat if you pull it out you will lose beginning performance and it will take like 30 min or longer to warm up

What happened to the floor pan? 97-01 are usually much better with rust than earlier years.

Operating an engine without a t-stat is just bad advice. The FSM does not say u must use X degree t-stat but it does say DO NOT operate engine WITHOUT a t-stat.
Jeep didn't design Cherokees run hot.....they just made the factory gauge point to the middle where they printed 210. LOL

How do u know the t-stat sticking? It has to be removed and tested to see if it sticks (closed) so might as well just replace it with a new one, once it's removed. A properly functioning t-stat does one thing.....control MINIMUM temp. If it's overheating and the t-stat is functioning correctly, the overheat problem lies elsewhere (water pump, radiator, fan clutch, lack of coolant, dirty/clogged block/head, damaged/clogged fins on rad and/or condenser.
