Cooling fan runs at startup

93 XJ 4.0

Cooling fan turns on at startup and runs for about 30 seconds every 3-4 mins. I changed the water temp sensor, still does it. Any ideas guys? Thanks for your help.

I had this same issue only it ran all the time, replace the thermostat I did on mine and it fixed it, when thermostats fail they are designed to fail open.

What!!!!! no they aren't !!!!!,The only ones like that are the-stat fail safe ts Not the regular t-stats.Please make sure the info you give is right or if your not sure its better to say nothing.
