cooling fan question
I read a lot of radiator and cooling fan issues and somewhere I saw a post on this exact issue but I do not remember where. I did a cooling system makeover. New radiator (3 row), thermostat, water pump, fan shroud, pressure cap, cooling fan, cooling fan relay.
I start the vehicle and turn on the A/C and my cooling fan does not turn-on however I unplug the sensor on the theromstat housing throat and it does. Is this a bad thermo-sensor? What is the logic? I figure that the sensor is just a open or closed switch.
My XJ also has idiot lights. What is the cleanest method to remedy this? Changing out an instrument panel sound like a nightmare. Are the wires already available in the wiring harness? Is there a good aftermarket system that works well?
