Hi,

I've just bought my first Cherokee 4.0L and the only fault there seems to be with it is that the cooling fan seems to run almost constantly even from cold. It does not seem to be overheating. I've done a search and the only thing I can find that it might be is the sensor on the thermostat housing might be faulty. Does that sound right?

possibly? mine turns on a lot as well but i do know that the 4.0's run hotter than most. mine kicks on every 5-10 minutes

 

thats probably your problem but just be happy your fan works because alot of them stop working when the sensor goes bad
