How is your radiator cap?

Check the cap too. Would not be the first time a new part was defective out of the box.

This is a shot of my pressure tester I use with my '00 XJ. The pump itself is used alone on the radiator to check if pressure holds. You put on the black adapter, just like putting on a radiator cap, and can put your radiator cap on to check to see if that holds pressure.

FWIW I replaced my OEM radiator cap with another OEM radiator cap from the Jeep dealer. It wouldn't hold pressure. Brand new out of the box. Said screw it and grabbed one from the local NAPA and it holds pressure just fine.
