Default coolant leak and engine squeaking when starting

Hmm okay well I just replaced my waterpump, thermostat, and serp belt now when I start the car its squeaks and then it goes away and the car idles fine, it only squeaks when turning the ignition and starting the car any ideas why ?

Could my belt be to tight or to loose ? The first couple times I started it it wasnt making any noise, until now.

Now I notice some coolant drips from my lower radiator hose where it connects to the waterpump, looks like its seeping right under the hose clamp. Damn it! anything I can do or should i just replace the radiator hose? I probably should have when I had it all apart sob. I just dont see how its seeping right under the clamp unless the hose has some small cuts in it.

What do you guys recommend ?

Tighten your serp belt. You may or may not have to remove your e fan to do this. I did just to make a little more room.

As far as your leak, are you sure the hose was reseated correctly (all the way in) and the clamp reinstalled correctly?

See the above. Likely you will have to again retighten the belt in a week or two, since the new belt will stretch a little.
Retighten the clamp to see if that solves the issue. If not, reseating will have to be checked. Its always good to replace hoses when u r replacing waterpump, that way you only have to drain the coolant once and have fresh hoses in place that will last you for some time.

Pick up a Kricket belt tension tool, XJ belts need to be really freaking tight to be correct, but over or under can cause parts to wear.
