coolant leak

Default coolant leak

alryte so ive noticed that i have coolant on around the top of the engine
how do i fix this do i have to replace a gasket plz help

Where on top of engine? Also is this a hose or what is it?

I think we need a little more information.
Top of the engine, could be a leaking top radiator hose, heater hose, any number of things.

sorry guys
i have an inline 6 cylinder engine in my 98 xj
the coolant is on back of the engine around the top and i dont see it coming from anywhere

Sounds like a heater hose.
With gloves od so you don;t get burnt, start flexing heater hoses with it hot and pressure on the system and look for a blown hose.

found it there is a leak in the top radiator hose on the right
ryte above were the clamp holds it in place
im gonna switch it out tomorrow
