Default Coolant flow direction

Hello, all. I own a 1998 Jeep XJ 4.0. I want to flush my heater core but don’t know the direction the coolant flows. Regarding the heater hose that runs off the thermostat housing, does the coolant flow into or out of the heat core through this hose?

Any information appreciated.

Thank you.

You should flush it both ways.
