Tried the ratchet seemed like it didn't fit in hard to manuver with the ex manifold. I am trying to drain or flush any crap out of the bottom of my block. Machined head new gaskets all new cooling system. Want to make sure it's clean!!!!!!

Its a 3/8 square. Maybe 1/2. Use an extension. It will fit.

If you have a 3" extension or a U joint for the ratchet that might help too.

Maybe try a 1/4 drive socket. One of them will work.

1/4 way too small I guess it's a 5 /16 drain plug. 3/8 is just a hair big off to find a 4 sided allen

Reasonably sure it's 5/16".....a short piece of 5/16" bar stock (at most hardware stores) should work.
