Question Converting 1996 Door Windows to 97 Style??

Hey guys,
does anybody know if there is a way to convert the 'wing' style windows I have now to the 'wingless' 97 up style, and still use my same doors? My factory 96 wings are fixed in place and do not function, but they make the window opening much smaller than I would like for mail delivery. Has anyone cut out the divider post and removed the tracks, then installed the 97 up window gear?

Can this be done?

Thanks,
fast

Seems like it would be much much simpler to just get some 97+ doors and swap them into your 96, its very easy and would probably be cheaper, more reliable, and much faster.

However Im guessing you need/want a Right Hand drive door and that may be more difficult to find.

Do a search on here. If I am not mistaken there was something on how someone else did this. But I think the went the other way. Putting on wing window that where the moving ones and getting rid of the larger single window.

Thanks RTorrez1,
I'm real new on here and was wondering if one of you veterans would instruct me on how and where I might search for this type of info?

Thanks for the help.
