Default Control Arms from WJ

i have been doing some searching on cheep and free mods for the XJ, and i noticed in our shop there was an axle with CA's still attached as i walked by it i thought "that looks like a grand cherokee front end" sure enough in our body shop there was a WJ with a bent front axle, the insurance company went for the junk yard rout and when it came in it still had the CA's attached upper and lower so i snagged them

on http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/ there is a write up on using the lowers, he just bent out the mounts on the axle so they would just bolt right in and on the "frame" side he used drop brackets so his write up does not really help me to much, from doing some searches i read that you need to cut them to bolt them right in but i cant find out were, has any one on here done it?

and the uppers, on NAXJA i read through a thread were the guy put the uppers on but they give you a loss of droop by about an inch, since i am only at a 3" lift and 30" tires i am sot sure if the extra droop is worth the extra strength i would gain from having the boxed arm instead of the U shaped, i know there is a couple of tricks out there to gain that extra droop but im pretty sure with these uppers they bind at the "frame" mount side

here is the gojeep write up http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoWJcontrolarms.htm

here is what i found on the uppers from NAXJA
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea...t=CONTROL+ARMS

any incite on this mod?

i know people run the lowers but the uppers dont fit right,in my opinion trying to making the uppers work is a waste of time when you can just buy new ones for your application. but goodluck
