Default control arms?

i have a cherokee with a 5 in lift but my rear raised it some, is it possible to drop the control arms down to get more lift, and about how much is the average cost to do a long arm system?

You can get drop frame mounts for your upper and lower control arms. I know RE and RC sell them. Rough Country price is $189.99. If I know RE, their's are most likely more.

I remember seeing the long arm kits were about $800- $1200, depends what quality you want. Like buck said though there are drop brackets for the arms. I have RC's drop brackets for my 4.5" lift and they work great and it was money well spent considering the ride difference. Especially if you 5" and plan on going higher. It is a similar ride quality as a long arm kit, my buddy has a long arm kit on his grand cherokee and there are noticeable similar for up front ride quality. Let me know if you want some pics if it helps your decision making.

The control arm drop will not do anyhting for lift just ride quality and down travel.

not really, i was gonna drop my control arms down for some extra lift, and if it was worth it maybe put on a set of longarms for a better offroad experience

Dropping the control arms down will not give you lift neither will long arms. Only way to get lift is springs, shackles, spacers and such.

But, putting drop brackets on will allow you to put a taller spring or spacer on for more lift without needing a longer Control Arm.
