control arm dangers?

not really but it is more for alignment issues. death wobble is when you are lifted with bad bushings or tie rod ends and you will get a bad vibration from the front that is hard to control

hmm ok. well after i get my lift on what should i look for to tell me if i do or do not need the control arm?

You are more likely to need the SYE.. Even the need for SYE varies Jeep to Jeep. If you get vibes after installing the lift, start saving for the SYE. They can be done for $200 to $500, from HacknTap w/JY shaft to complete ALL new Kits. The Control Arm Drop Kit is more for comfort and added flex. You will not need the CAD, but you might want it. At 4+" the control arms will have a pretty steep angle to them, and this will cause it to ride rough, CAD helps swooth out the ride by returning the CA angles closer to stock.

the lift you have coming has the correct lenght arm so you should be ok there just get it on and we can go from there

Does you lift include an Adjustable Track Bar??? Because this is most likely going to be the first thing you buy after the lift. Be sure to check all bushings and Joints in the steering and front suspension when you do the lifts, they all must be in good shape and tight. If not you will get Death Wobble.

front coil springs, front lower control arms, transfer case drop kit, swaybar links, brake line relocating brackets, (4) RC Hydro 8000 series shocks, and rear add-a-leafs and shackles. Upgrade to the system for NEW rear leaf springs.

that is what comes with my lift. and 93gc40 your suggesting i get them both in time? or the sye first and then if i still feel i need the cad then get that? and thank you a1racer for all your help once i put the lift on ill def get back to you and we will go from there

Yes I'm saying the CAD is completly optional.

But a new Trackbar and SYE may not be. You will know if you need these only after completing the lift. SYE to correct driveline vibrations. The Trackbar to center the front axel, you can measure for this when you do the lift install.

Checking and repairing any other worn suspension and steering parts at the time of the lift, is not optional, IMO. This is a serious safety issue.

i have RC's 4.5 kit and I love it. I would highly suggest though to get the drop brackets, they are only $160 if you call Rough Country directly. Also, I had to get the adj. track bar after I installed mine because of my front axle being so off centered considering the lenght of the stock track bar will pull your axle towards you drivers side. Lastly, your jeep might be different but mine has been just fine concerning vibrations without the SYE, the only thing I did to mine was dropped my transfer case that came with the kit that should come with yours. I have had mine on for about 7 months now and have done some decent trailing and havenet had any problems at all. If you want a preview of what your getting look at my photos.

Also I dont worry about brake line extentions, your kit should include relocation brackets for your brake lines to avoid it. Its not the best way to do it but it works... I didn't really understand if you had bought the complete leaf kit or the AAL but if you have the chance for an upgrade get the complete leaf kit that will save you the extra step that I had to take. My AAL were horrible and sagged about a 1.5" but I contacted Rough Country and they gave me complete leafs at cost. Another reason to be buying a Rough Country kit is there customer service!!

You do not have to have the control arm drops at all. And do a search for the hack-n-tap they are alot cheaper than a SYE and do basically the same thing. But all you will have to have is some bigger tires!

I just want to say something. As far as the S.Y.E. goes imo i would get it and don't go cheap on it when you do pay the extra money for a tom woods drive shaft. My buddy and I both got lifts at the same time and we both had to put on a sye. anyways he went the cheap route and i when the right route. come to find out he had to keep sending the driveshaft back because it was not balanced he then gave up and boght a tom woods driveshaft bolted it up and perfect as the same was for me. just something to keep in mind if you want to save money worry about it in the long run not the now.

no the CA drops aren't necessary but it helps concerning a bit of comfort on the road and flex on the trail. you want to keep you arms parrallel as possible with level ground the brackets are the best way to do without a long arm kit

Well it is all really a matter of opinion and which company you go with. Tom Woods are nice but very expensive I have a Hack-N-Tap that I got from http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch..._Code=IR-X_HNT for $200 and drive it every day with no problems(and I have a 6" lift) and all it comes with is a Refurbished double cardan CV driveshaft from the front of a XJ. If you do the Hack-N-Tap right and use the right tools it works just fine. You do not HAVE to spend the most to get the best.

This is another "matter of opinion" Modification some guys love it some say it is not worth the reduced clearance from the lowered brackets. I guess it is up to you, if you have $200 to burn than give it a try for your self and if you hate them sell them.
