Default Coil spring keepers

Ok not a serious problem, just need some suggestions on how to fix this.

Both left and right holes for my coil spring keeper tabs are stripped out. How would you fix this?

I thought about putting a nut on the back side but can't get to it, atleast on the right one.

What about a helicoil? Is the metal to thin?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would drill and tap to the next size. Or you could use a self tapping bolt drilled to the next size

Iron rock offroad sells HD coil spring retainers that you could look into as an option

Here's what you need http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch..._Code=IR-SFCSR . It utilizes the stock hole and the one behind it, so it's a little stronger. You could also just make them yourself if you have any fabrication skills.

I just drilled mine the rest of the way through the bracket and used a nut and bolt.

i welded a nut on. works good for keeping the retainer tight and also compensates for the larger diameter of the coil

for stock applications not really. the factory used them to hold the coils in place on the assembly line. when you start unseating the coils though, you will want them so the coil doesnt drop out.
