Default coil spring help

when i bought my 86 xj 2.5l the guy said it had a 3" lift, come to find out i measured it cause i need new shocks and (center of hub to bottom stock flar) front measured 22" and rear measured 19.5, so i must have a 5" lift up front and 2.5" in rear. however i only see a 2" spacer up front and coils look stock? is there a way to measure if springs are stock or not like using a micrometer on individual coil? or # of coils? im going to order some springs along with my shocks, so i need to know if in fact it is not a stock spring or my measurements are off. thanks in advance.

you could also take off a shock and measure its lengths extended and colapsed.

i guess my main question is....is there a way to determine if these springs are stock or not? do springs differ in thickness of coil? and how many individual coils per coil come on stock setups?

yes, there is a 2" spacer on top, but when i measure center of hub to bottom of flare i get a total of 5" of lift, but the springs look stock as well. just want to make sure i dont get 5" leaf springs and have my rear higher than my front.

how is the front wheel taller than rear? doesnt matter anyway cause stock measurements from center of hub to bottom of factory flare for both front and rear should be 17" so tire size does not matter.
